About PEP Authenticator

PEP Authenticator is a mobile application that provides secure two-factor authentication (2FA) using Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP). The app allows users to scan QR codes, generate verification codes, and approve Quick Sign requests from participating websites.

Getting Started

Adding an Account

Open PEP Authenticator.
Tap the Scan button.
Scan the QR code provided by the website or service.
The account will be added automatically and begin generating verification codes.

Using Verification Codes

Open PEP Authenticator.
Enter the displayed 6-digit code when prompted by the website.

Using Quick Sign

Start the login process on a participating website.
Scan the Quick Sign QR code using PEP Authenticator.
Pepbase will approve the login.

Troubleshooting

QR Code Will Not Scan

Ensure camera permissions are enabled.
Verify the QR code is clearly visible and well lit.
Hold the device steady while scanning.

Verification Codes Are Rejected

Confirm your device date and time are set automatically.
Verify the account was enrolled correctly.
Remove and re-add the account if necessary.

Lost Access to Your Device

PEP Authenticator stores authentication data locally on your device. If you lose access to your device, contact the service provider associated with the account to regain access.
